About the Role
This role is responsible for ensuring that products meet international environmental compliance standards through evaluation, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate new and evolving environmental regulations for product impact.
- Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to ensure compliance.
- Maintain product compliance documentation across product lines.
- Support product development teams during design and launch phases.
- Interpret regulatory requirements from regions including EU, US, and Asia.
- Conduct compliance assessments for substances in packaging and materials.
- Prepare technical documentation for REACH, RoHS, and similar frameworks.
- Track regulatory changes and advise stakeholders on necessary actions.
- Work with suppliers to collect compliance data and certifications.
- Ensure product declarations meet customer-specific requirements.
- Assist in audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
- Develop internal guidance for compliance-related processes.
- Coordinate with external laboratories for testing and verification.
- Manage databases for substance declarations and compliance records.
- Provide training to internal teams on compliance updates.
- Support sustainability initiatives linked to product environmental performance.
- Review product formulations for restricted substance compliance.
- Liaise with legal and regulatory affairs for alignment on standards.
- Contribute to risk assessments for non-compliant materials.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends in environmental regulation.
