The Timken Company, a global leader in engineered bearings and industrial motion products, is seeking a Product Engineer to manage Cone Drive's product offerings and lifecycle. You'll be responsible for analyzing market trends, defining new product requirements, and creating the technical and commercial materials needed to bring solutions to market.
What You'll Do
- Research market trends to identify future opportunities for Cone Drive products and capabilities.
- Interface with customers and sales personnel to understand and define product solution requirements.
- Conduct competitor analysis to maintain visibility of product and technology offerings.
- Develop business cases for New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives, including commercial justification, scope, resources, and timing.
- Develop online tools and technical marketing materials to optimize information for customers.
- Provide technical product support and training to internal and external Cone Drive teams.
- Assist sales and marketing by providing technical training to current and prospective customers.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of prior engineering and sales experience, preferably in a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and sound knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
- Demonstrated customer interfacing experience and success.
- Excellent written, spoken, and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement.
- Experience with related rotating or motion control equipment or applications.
- Eligibility to access US export controlled technical data (US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees, or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations).
- Authorization to work in the US.
Nice to Have
- Prior management experience in an engineering, sales, and/or manufacturing environment.

This is an onsite position located in Traverse City, Michigan.
