At 3M, we are seeking a Product Development Specialist (m/f/*) to join our team in Neuss, Germany. You will lead commercialization efforts for new and modified products serving the electric vehicle market, transitioning concepts from the laboratory to large-scale manufacturing and working directly with customers to understand needs and potential solutions. What You'll Do
- Lead critical commercialization efforts for new and modified products serving the electric vehicle market.
- Transition product concepts from the laboratory to large-scale manufacturing.
- Work directly with customers to understand needs and potential 3M solutions.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and safety of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across various geographies to drive product development.
- Innovate and apply materials that improve the performance of electric vehicle motors.
- Lead and complete projects with creativity and rigor to build new business platforms.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
- Experience in product (or technology) development.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Willingness to travel within EMEA.
Nice to Have
- Experience with electric motors, particularly those used in electric vehicle powertrains (e.g., motor design, materials, technology trends, performance, testing, manufacturing processes, and performance simulation tools).
- Experience with films and adhesives, coating processes, adhesive processing, or developing material standards and specifications.
