Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and refinement of spiral hydraulic hose designs, including reinforcement layout, layer configuration, and dimensional specifications
- Apply engineering principles specific to spiral hose construction to satisfy pressure, impulse, fatigue, and long-term reliability requirements
- Develop hose architectures that balance strength, flexibility, and resilience under real-world operating conditions and customer expectations
- Transform conceptual hose designs into production-ready solutions that support scalable and stable manufacturing processes
- Evaluate and select materials such as rubber compounds, reinforcement wires, and protective covers based on their impact on performance and process consistency
- Use finite element analysis results to inform design decisions and validate predictions against physical test data
- Produce and manage basic CAD models for hoses and fittings, including assembly interfaces that affect system-level functionality
- Work closely with manufacturing, process engineering, testing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production
- Convert hose design features, production methods, and fitting integration into measurable performance attributes like pressure capacity, impulse endurance, flexibility, and service life
- Support validation testing, analyze failures, and refine designs to improve product performance
- Assist in verification and validation tasks, including test planning, root cause analysis, and iterative design improvements
- Create and maintain technical documentation such as design standards, product specifications, and engineering reports
- Ensure all spiral hose designs comply with relevant industry regulations and customer-specific requirements
- Provide engineering expertise to internal teams during product industrialization and ongoing production phases
- Support process adjustments and scale-up activities for spiral hose manufacturing
