Shape the Future of Sustainable Packaging
As a Product Development Engineer, you will lead the technical development of reusable packaging containers made from polypropylene and high-density polyethylene. Your work will focus on creating robust, recyclable solutions that meet the demands of modern supply chains while minimizing environmental impact throughout the product lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Design and validate injection-molded components using structured engineering practices
- Apply CAD/CAE tools and finite element analysis to simulate performance and optimize designs
- Conduct tolerance analysis and support mold development in close collaboration with tooling partners
- Lead product validation through tooling trials (T0–T2) and support PPAP documentation
- Own engineering change processes and maintain accurate technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with quality frameworks including APQP, FMEA, and ISO standards
- Integrate sustainability into material selection, durability planning, and end-of-life recyclability
- Manage project tasks, timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication across functions
- Translate complex engineering outcomes into clear insights for executive review
- Drive continuous improvement using root-cause analysis and lessons learned
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, or Product Design
- Proven experience delivering injection-molded plastic products from concept to SOP
- Proficiency with CAD platforms such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NX
- Hands-on experience with FEA tools like ANSYS or Abaqus
- Familiarity with mold simulation software including Moldflow or Sigmasoft
- Solid understanding of APQP, PPAP, MSA, and statistical process controls
- Ability to think systemically about lifecycle impacts, including automation and digital integration
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical trade-offs clearly
- Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage
- Experience in international, multi-site environments
