The HSE Coordinator plays a key role in upholding health, safety, and environmental standards at the Jarrow location, aligning daily operations with both legal requirements and internal corporate expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain annual HSE action plans for site leadership to implement in daily operations
- Monitor and analyze safety data to identify trends, improve leading indicators, and prevent life-altering events
- Prepare regular reports for management to track performance and progress
- Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, ensuring corrective actions are tracked and completed
- Support the rollout of safety strategies and initiatives across the site
- Advise on equipment safety standards and promote industry best practices
- Deliver training programs related to HSE systems and regulatory compliance
- Oversee emergency preparedness, including planning and conducting drills
- Manage contractor safety compliance, ensuring adherence to standards and performance expectations
- Identify and apply lessons from internal and external benchmarks to improve HSE performance
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a degree in a relevant field or possess recognized certifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH. Prior experience in health and safety within a manufacturing or continuous process environment is essential. Demonstrated ability to interpret regulations, analyze data, and influence safety behavior is required.
