Energy Products and Services is seeking a Product Analyst to join the team responsible for NOV's Max Maintenance platform, which is transforming industrial asset management. In this role, you will combine analytical thinking, collaboration, and design thinking to shape web and mobile SaaS solutions. You will partner closely with the Product Line Manager, Development Leads, and Scrum Masters to translate business needs into backlog items and ensure the delivery of measurable value.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Development Leads and/or Scrum Masters to coordinate sprint planning, progress tracking, and delivery alignment.
- Partner with the Product Line Manager to define, document, and maintain product backlogs in GitHub.
- Participate and support discovery sessions using design thinking methods to explore user needs, pain points, and opportunities.
- Translate customer and stakeholder insights into clear stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Work with designers, developers, and customer success to validate and refine solutions through iterative feedback and testing.
- Monitor product performance, adoption, and usage through Datadog and other analytics tools.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in collaboration with Customer Success to ensure delivered features meet business and user expectations.
- Maintain product documentation, release notes, and change histories for ongoing traceability.
- Provide consistent communication on sprint goals, delivery updates, and release timelines to stakeholders.
- Gather and synthesize post-release feedback to inform backlog prioritization and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3 to 6 years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or Product Owner in a SaaS or digital product environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working closely with Customers, Development Leads, and Scrum Masters.
- Hands-on experience managing product backlogs and sprint planning.
- Proficiency with Datadog or similar analytics tools for monitoring performance and usage.
- Proficiency in tools like SQL Server, Jira, Github, Confluence, Miro, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience applying design thinking to product discovery and problem-solving.
- Excellent facilitation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with API-driven SaaS platforms and mobile application delivery.
- Knowledge of design tools (e.g., Figma) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Databricks).
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and continuous delivery practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience in asset management, maintenance management, or industrial software environments.
- Agile or business analysis certifications (CSPO, CBAP, etc.).
- Experience working closely with QA/test teams and CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL, or system integration concepts.
- Exposure to early-stage or scale-up SaaS environments.
