Jet Support Services, Inc. is hiring a Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Drive cost reductions, enhance sales opportunities, deliver high-quality customer service, and provide integrated supply chain solutions in support of Technical Advisors.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to all inquiries and requests from Technical Advisors.
  • Identify and procure parts to fulfill purchase requisitions, Aircraft on Ground (AOG) needs, and Requests for Information (RFI).
  • Develop competitive Requests for Quote (RFQ), negotiate favorable pricing, and ensure adherence to quality, configuration, and delivery standards.
  • Generate purchase orders for Trust accounts, JSSI Inc., and JSSI Parts.
  • Issue, monitor, and expedite purchase orders using Salesforce, AMS, and AvSight to ensure full visibility and closed-loop communication with Technical Advisors.
  • Maintain consistent communication and provide proactive updates to Technical Advisors and external customers.
  • Track parts throughout the procurement cycle to ensure accurate project costing and proper client billing.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of parts while meeting required quality standards and life cycle limits.
  • Manage core inventory tracking for both internal and third-party vendors across Trust accounts, JSSI Inc., and JSSI Parts.
  • Handle international shipping logistics, including export compliance, customs documentation, certifications, and assessment of taxes, duties, and fees.
  • Participate in on-call or rotating shifts for AOG support to address after-hours critical sales demands, volunteering for coverage as needed.
  • Research and stay informed on aviation parts availability through current and potential vendor networks.
  • Monitor supplier performance and measure cost-saving outcomes.
  • Prepare monthly reports summarizing cost savings, purchasing activity, and vendor engagement as requested.
  • Continuously evaluate procurement and logistics operations to identify cost-saving improvements for Trust accounts, JSSI Inc., and JSSI Parts.
  • Qualify and approve new vendors to increase competition, improve product quality, or reduce lead times based on defined quality standards.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in AvSight, Salesforce, and AMS systems.
  • Assist with return material authorizations (RMAs) and return processes involving vendors and customers as required.
  • Adhere to all assigned company policies and procedures.
