Hire Overseas is hiring a Procurement Analyst to drive strategic sourcing and cost optimization across multiple categories. In this data-driven role, you will leverage procurement systems and market intelligence to identify savings opportunities and build strong supplier relationships.
What You'll Do
- Navigate procurement software and ERP systems to search for SKUs and identify vendors.
- Manage quotes and RFQ processes from initial outreach through final supplier selection.
- Conduct targeted internet research to identify new suppliers and market opportunities.
- Analyze procurement data to identify sourcing trends and optimize category strategies.
- Develop insights that inform strategic sourcing decisions and supplier performance evaluations.
- Identify and implement cost reduction strategies throughout the entire sourcing process.
- Apply financial understanding to evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate favorable terms.
- Monitor spend patterns and implement process improvements to maximize savings.
- Conduct comprehensive market research for pricing intelligence and competitive analysis.
- Stay current on market conditions, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices.
- Execute purchasing processes following established best practices and compliance requirements.
- Apply supply chain management principles to optimize sourcing workflows and supplier relationships.
- Make outbound calls to suppliers, negotiate contracts, and resolve sourcing challenges.
- Build strong supplier relationships that foster trust, collaboration, and long-term partnerships.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines.
- Apply creative problem-solving to overcome sourcing challenges and supplier issues.
- Maintain attention to detail in contracts, data analysis, and procurement documentation.
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Experience with procurement software, ERP systems, and advanced internet/vendor searching techniques.
- Strong data analysis capabilities with ability to identify trends and actionable insights.
- Basic financial understanding for evaluating supplier proposals and contract terms.
- Understanding of purchasing processes, supply chain principles, and market research methodologies.
- Proven ability to make outbound calls, negotiate effectively, and build lasting relationships.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, attention to detail, and negotiation skills.
