Sonoco is looking for a Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives within our ThermoSafe Division. You will be responsible for conducting studies and making recommendations to enhance process control, productivity, and quality. This is a remote position that requires extensive travel across ThermoSafe locations.
What You'll Do
- Provide plant leadership for manufacturing control strategies
- Develop capital authorization requests and manage capital projects
- Utilize tools like Six Sigma and TQM to enhance productivity and reduce scrap
- Develop improvement action plans based on audits and manage their implementation
- Provide support to maintenance systems within the plant
What We're Looking For
- A four-year degree or equivalent experience
- Strong communication and technical skills
- Strong business and technical skills
- Ability and willingness to travel 75% of the time
Nice to Have
- A degree preferably in the sciences or engineering
