Propelis is hiring a Print Production Manager

About the Role

Propelis seeks a Print Production Manager to organize and maintain client artwork through the print production process, improving cycle time, quality, and economics. This role acts as a key interface and ensures effective communication among supply chain partners including printers, Design Studios, and internal clients.

What You'll Do

  • Provide on-time services, expertise, and solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Build rapport and strong relationships with clients to ensure business growth.
  • Lead and conduct regular business reviews with clients.
  • Attend client meetings and collaborate with initiative managers to meet project schedules.
  • Serve as the main day-to-day contact for clients, suppliers, and partners, providing timely responses.
  • Ensure high-quality standards in all client deliverables.
  • Collaborate with production facilities to ensure conformance and delivery of KPIs.
  • Identify and implement improvements in account operation efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead option analyses and work with printers to reduce the risk of printing issues for new designs.
  • Act as the key link to color separation firms for timely delivery of accurate artwork.
  • Conduct print feasibility assessments to establish printer capability to meet design intent.
  • Confirm print feasibility via post-press analysis of first production.
  • Recommend options to reduce rework and costs in pre-press/print supply chains.
  • Lead resolution of technical issues between design firms and printers.
  • Provide technically feasible and affordable print solutions.
  • Provide innovative, up-to-date print technology ideas to the design community.
  • Ensure alignment of print quality measurement graphics in artwork.
  • Recommend required proofing and pre-press testing for initial printing phases.
  • Manage post-production issues with printers and Marketing Project Leaders.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate team activities; mentor, coach, train, and develop employees.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive printing industry experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to travel periodically, locally, nationally, and/or internationally.
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning.
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, colleagues, and clients.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
