About the Role

This position leads technical work in water quality science and modelling, supporting environmental compliance, project delivery, and client objectives across diverse water resource initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and execution of water quality monitoring programs
  • Develop and calibrate hydrodynamic and water quality models
  • Interpret environmental data to assess ecosystem health
  • Prepare technical reports for regulatory submissions
  • Support environmental impact assessments for infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on project solutions
  • Provide expert analysis for permitting and compliance
  • Mentor junior staff in technical and scientific methods
  • Evaluate pollutant transport and fate in aquatic systems
  • Conduct statistical analysis of water quality datasets
  • Integrate climate change considerations into modelling scenarios
  • Present findings to clients and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure modelling approaches align with project goals
  • Review scientific literature to inform study design
  • Apply numerical models to simulate estuarine and coastal processes
  • Assess sediment and contaminant interactions in water bodies
  • Develop mitigation strategies for water quality impacts
  • Support risk assessment and management planning
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Maintain quality assurance in data collection and analysis
  • Guide project teams on regulatory requirements
  • Optimize monitoring network designs
  • Evaluate effectiveness of water treatment and management strategies
  • Lead peer reviews of technical deliverables
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders on data needs
