About the Role

This role involves shaping the strategic direction of conversation design through innovation, collaboration, and deep understanding of user needs in complex software environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of conversational flows for enterprise software applications
  • Collaborate with UX researchers to understand user behaviors and pain points
  • Develop voice and tone guidelines for chatbot and virtual assistant interactions
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity conversation scripts
  • Partner with engineering and product management to ensure design feasibility
  • Define success metrics for conversational experiences
  • Conduct usability testing and iterate based on feedback
  • Mentor junior designers in conversation design best practices
  • Stay current with advancements in natural language processing and AI
  • Translate complex technical concepts into simple user interactions
  • Advocate for user-centered design throughout the development lifecycle
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and executives
  • Integrate accessibility standards into conversational interfaces
  • Ensure consistency across multiple touchpoints and platforms
  • Drive design system contributions for conversational components
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction through dialogue design
  • Analyze conversation analytics to inform future iterations
  • Support localization and internationalization of dialogue content
  • Work within agile development environments
  • Balance business goals with user needs in design decisions
