Nordex SE is looking for a Principal Technical Advisor to act as a key technical leader, providing advanced expertise and guidance throughout all phases of wind project execution, from port operations to final handover. You will ensure strict alignment with Nordex standards, quality objectives, and HSE compliance while developing the team's technical capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Ensure compliance with Nordex safety protocols and procedures during all operations.
- Act as the principal technical leader on assigned projects, guiding and coordinating technical advisors and subcontractors through all execution phases.
- Collaborate with site managers and TA managers to plan and supervise project activities in compliance with Nordex standards, quality objectives, and schedules.
- Serve as the primary technical contact point for complex installation challenges, providing advanced troubleshooting expertise.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements and proactively address safety issues.
- Provide hands-on training to technical advisors and contractors.
- Establish clear performance and quality expectations, identify gaps, and work with the TA manager on development plans.
- Mentor technical advisors to strengthen technical skills.
- Participate in site meetings, provide detailed technical reports, and support handover processes during rotations.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective measures.
- Promote knowledge sharing and contribute to the development of training materials.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or construction supervision (wind experience strongly desired).
- A diploma in a technical field or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in quality management and control, with expertise in wind turbine assembly and installation.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and project management tools.
- A valid driver's license and availability for frequent travel.
- Ability to spend significant time on wind farms under construction.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with clients and partners.
- Demonstrated experience in on-site turbine assembly and installation.
- Availability for more than 80% travel.
- Maximum weight of 120 kg required for safe use of climbing equipment.
- Mastery of English is essential, and French is strongly desired for work in Quebec. Spanish and German are assets.
- Authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship.
- Demonstrated skills in leadership and project coordination.
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

- Driving is an essential function of the position. You must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable under the company's auto insurance policy.

Team & Environment
You will work closely with site managers and TA managers during project execution and act as the primary technical contact point for all installation phases. While there is no direct hierarchical supervision, you will assume leadership and coordination responsibilities, reporting to the TA Manager.
