Onebrief is hiring a Principal Product Manager, Applications to lead the vision, strategy, and execution for our core application. In this senior leadership role, you will oversee and coordinate our persona-based teams (Commander, Collaborator, and Creator) and any emerging front-end teams to deliver seamless user experiences and consistent quality for our defense and government customers.
What You'll Do
- Define, communicate, and align teams to a unified product vision and strategy for all application teams.
- Set and drive cross-team priorities to ensure a seamless, integrated experience across Commander, Collaborator, and Creator products.
- Partner with executive leadership, platform, and AI teams to shape the long-term direction of application products.
- Lead coordination of strategic initiatives, roadmap planning, and execution across application teams.
- Ensure clean integration of application features with shared platform services like data models and UI libraries.
- Establish mechanisms for alignment, such as product councils and shared planning rituals.
- Set high standards for UX, quality, reliability, and performance across all application surfaces.
- Use user research, analytics, and feedback loops to inform priorities and measure impact.
- Ensure each application team delivers on its specific charter.
- Champion the voice of the user, grounded in a deep understanding of customer workflows.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for application-layer product strategy.
- Build strong partnerships with engineering, design, customer success, and go-to-market teams.
- Lead and mentor application Product Managers, providing coaching and support.
- Help shape the application product management organization, contributing to hiring and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in product management, including significant leadership of multiple product teams or large-scale initiatives.
- Experience building or operating at-scale collaborative productivity platforms (e.g., Google Docs, Microsoft 365, Atlassian, Miro, Notion).
- Prior experience in defense, government, or other regulated industries where trust, security, and reliability are paramount.
- Deep understanding of modern product development practices, including user-centered design and data-driven decision-making.
- Track record of strategic leadership: defining vision, setting priorities, and driving alignment across multiple teams.
- Demonstrated success shipping and scaling complex B2B/SaaS products.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with platform teams and shared services, ensuring robust interfaces.
- High degree of ownership, intellectual honesty, and a bias for action.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to work with sensitive or classified customer data.
