Bell Canada Enterprises is looking for a Principal Manager to take on the challenge of solving business problems with enterprise datasets and data products. You will play a crucial role in supporting Bell's transition to a data-driven company by building and leading a talented team whose mission is to design, develop and maintain robust, scalable and secure data solutions.
What You'll Do
- Define and build enterprise datasets and data products, working closely with data producers and consumers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs, translate them into technical solutions and measure the impact/value.
- Establish an effective and iterative management system, consistently delivering business value while keeping technical debt under control.
- Define strategic directions based on industry trends and help define Bell's differentiation using data.
- Support the team in structuring and managing projects and ensure strategic alignment.
What We're Looking For
- More than 5 years of proven experience leading and managing data engineering teams, including recruiting, performance management and team development.
- More than 5 years of experience in data engineering, architecture, pipeline/transformation, warehousing, modeling and governance.
- University degree in software engineering/computer science/IT.
- In-depth experience with cloud data platforms and their ecosystems.
- Mastery of SDLC & DevOps practices applied to the data domain (Infrastructure-as-code, software engineering, CI/CD pipelines).
- Strong strategic thinking with a high understanding of technology, business and finance; focusing on the big picture and strategy.
- Excellent understanding of Agile-Lean thinking and problem solving.
- Fundamentally collaborative approach and ability to establish internal and external partnerships.
- Adaptable team player for uncertain and changing needs.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
Nice to Have
- In-depth experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Experience with strategic planning methods.
- Experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Bilingual (French/English).
