Parsons Transportation Group is hiring a Principal Environmental Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Executes diverse tasks including creating design documentation, technical specifications for procurement and construction, client-facing presentations, leading technical meetings, and producing deliverables for review by clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Evaluates contractor submissions and conducts technical evaluations of bids.
  • Develops engineering calculations, material estimates, cost projections, survey data, and system designs.
  • Produces and releases construction-related documentation such as specifications, data sheets, and design criteria.
  • Applies professional engineer seal and signature when required, ensuring adherence to relevant codes, regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Offers technical direction and support to CAD designers, drafters, and entry-level engineers on shared projects.
  • Contributes to the development of proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Mentors and supports the professional growth of junior engineering personnel.
  • Participates in key client engagements, including technical discussions, presentations, and the preparation of materials intended for client and regulatory review.
  • Works across divisions to coordinate and promote services with federal, transportation, and infrastructure engineering teams.
