AECOM is seeking a Principal Engineer - Renewables (Solar PV) to join their Energy team in India. This role involves leading the design and engineering of solar PV and hybrid energy projects at both kW and MW scales, contributing to global initiatives while advancing technical expertise within a high-performing team.
What You'll Do
- Basic / Detailed Designing of overall PV Plant Layout (kW and MW scale)
- Preparing all BoS equipment drawings up to MV level
- Conduct DC, MV level AC, Earthing and Lightning calculations
- Prepare DC grouping, cable sizing and layout
- Preparation of solar PV or hybrid plant SCADA architecture at MV level
- Experience in conducting due diligence for solar PV plants and individual equipment
- Maintain awareness of new product technologies
- Technical report writing skills
- Bill of Material (BoM) preparation
- OEM, EPC and O&M Request for Proposal (RfP) preparation
- Review of solar PV plant equipment & EPC technical documents
- Conduct shading analysis for equipment as per geography and sun path
