About the Role
This role is a senior technical authority responsible for defining, aligning, and governing Physical Design Architecture, Technology aspects, Foundry selection & PPA. The technologist serves as the primary interface between the internal SoC Physical Design organization and the foundry, systems team & ensure competitive edge.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main technical liaison with TSMC for all Physical Design matters.
- Engage in technical evaluations with internal and external foundry teams to support foundry selection decisions.
- Collaborate with foundry partners and technology teams to establish signoff criteria and required documentation.
- Lead an AI-driven initiative aimed at reducing MCU development costs.
- Shape the Physical Design team's AI strategy in coordination with methodology groups and external technology providers.
- Spearhead pilot AI projects within the organization, including defining scope, objectives, and execution plans.
- Partner with system architects, architecture teams, and chip leads to ensure MCU architectures are physically feasible.
- Lead planning for physical partitioning, latency management, pipeline design, IO specifications, and AC requirements.
- Establish and align die-size, PPA targets, and key performance indicators for SoC and MCU designs.

Hybrid (remote up to two days per week; core office days Tuesday through Thursday)
