About the Role

This role involves leading environmental impact assessment projects, guiding technical teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards through expert analysis and client-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage environmental impact assessment (EIA) processes for complex infrastructure projects
  • Prepare and review environmental statements and technical reports
  • Provide expert guidance on regulatory compliance and environmental legislation
  • Coordinate input from multidisciplinary technical specialists
  • Support project managers with environmental risk assessments
  • Engage with clients to understand project requirements and deliverables
  • Oversee quality assurance and technical validation of EIA documentation
  • Lead scoping exercises and environmental baseline studies
  • Manage stakeholder consultation processes including public engagement
  • Develop environmental management plans and mitigation strategies
  • Conduct environmental audits and due diligence assessments
  • Advise on climate change resilience and sustainability considerations
  • Represent projects at planning hearings and regulatory meetings
  • Ensure alignment with national and international environmental standards
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to team capability development
  • Support business development through proposal writing and client presentations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in EIA workflows
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of environmental policy developments
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to integrate environmental factors
  • Manage project budgets and timelines related to environmental studies
  • Oversee third-party consultants and subcontractors
  • Respond to regulatory agency feedback on EIA submissions
  • Ensure proper documentation and archiving of environmental data
  • Promote best practices in environmental assessment methodologies
  • Support sustainability initiatives across project lifecycles
