Responsibilities
- Deliver ecological components of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) projects for internal teams and external clients
- Prepare and review various biodiversity evaluations, including BNG feasibility studies, design-phase reports, NBB assessments, and full BNG assessments
- Collaborate with the UK&I BNG lead to advance the organization's BNG strategy as biodiversity regulations evolve
- Support the training and development of ecologists throughout the company
- Engage in consultations with clients, planning agencies, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders
- Contribute to enhancing technical expertise and promote innovation and research integration
- Partner with digital and data specialists to refine biodiversity-related digital tools
- Lead the preparation of proposals and tenders for ecology and BNG service offerings
- Provide mentorship and guidance to early-career staff and fellow professionals
