About the Role

Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end data architecture for energy storage systems
- Develop data models that support real-time monitoring and forecasting
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple operational platforms
- Lead integration of IoT sensor data from battery sites into central systems
- Create scalable pipelines for high-volume time-series data
- Define standards for metadata, data quality, and data lineage
- Collaborate with software engineers to optimize data access patterns
- Support the deployment of machine learning models using operational data
- Establish data security and access control frameworks
- Guide cloud infrastructure decisions related to data storage and compute
- Own the evolution of data warehouse and data lake strategies
- Drive best practices in data engineering across cross-functional teams
- Evaluate and select data tools and technologies for long-term scalability
- Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory data requirements
- Mentor junior data engineers and architects
- Translate business needs into technical data solutions
- Optimize data workflows for low-latency grid response systems
- Maintain documentation for data systems and processes
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot data pipeline issues
- Partner with product teams to define data requirements for new features
