Responsibilities
- Direct the planning, design, and regulatory permitting of civil and site development projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, working closely with project engineers.
- Utilize engineering software, maps, aerial imagery, technical manuals, and field data to evaluate soil, terrain, water flow, and geological conditions for project planning.
- Lead the creation and revision of engineering deliverables such as technical reports, design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents.
- Conduct feasibility evaluations, cost modeling, and sustainability reviews for proposed developments.
- Oversee project execution to ensure adherence to budgetary and scheduling requirements.
- Conduct and coordinate field inspections when necessary to support project accuracy and compliance.
- Develop, examine, and finalize technical documentation including stormwater analyses, utility assessments, and feasibility studies.
- Partner with technical directors on proposal development, budget planning, and financial review processes.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Apply principles of civil engineering, advanced mathematics, and sustainable design practices to project tasks.
- Review the technical quality and accuracy of work produced by engineering team members.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor engineers and interns, contributing to their training and career growth.
- Work collaboratively across departments and office locations to meet interdisciplinary project goals and support knowledge sharing.
- Propose improvements to workflows and processes to increase efficiency and service quality.
- Stay current with evolving engineering standards, regulations, and safety protocols through professional engagement and continuing education.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
