Egis Group is hiring a Principal Civil Designer

We are seeking a Principal Civil Designer with 10+ years’ experience to join our WA design team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide high level technical support and direction in relation to design services for engineering projects including civil, structural, resources, geotechnical and other specialisations of engineering. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to step into a Discipline Lead position, responsible for the Western Australian design team and will contribute to projects including local government and private infrastructure sectors. You will be responsible for - Design of multi-disciplinary complex civil projects, ensuring design drawings for engineering project work comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices - Providing high level technical support for all design drawings for engineering project work - Directing preparation of preliminary and detailed designs for engineering projects in line with parameters set out in project scope of works - Preparation of construction documentation and specifications for design works - Preparing schedules and allocating resources to enable design drawings for engineering projects to be completed on time and within budget - Ensuring compliance with specifications, design standards and Australian Codes to enhance quality design - Promoting a culture of technical excellence through mentoring and training less experienced designers - Supporting and approving associated technical work directly related to the discipline - Playing an active role in the business groups through regular meetings, workshops, training and business planning
