Seventh Dimension LLC is hiring a Pricing Data Analyst to create compliant and competitive cost and pricing strategies for government proposals. In this role, you’ll conduct market research and provide critical insights to strengthen our positioning in federal acquisitions. You will partner closely with capture, contracts, finance, and program management teams.
What You’ll Do
- Collect, validate, and analyze cost and pricing data to support proposal development and program execution.
- Prepare cost estimates, price models, and supporting documentation.
- Develop cost narratives, cost volumes, and pricing inputs for proposals and bids.
- Work closely with proposal, contracts, and program management teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of pricing strategies.
- Conduct ‘what-if’ analyses, sensitivity studies, and scenario modeling to support pricing strategy and competitiveness.
- Maintain historical cost data, labor rates, material costs, and other cost elements to improve future estimating accuracy.
- Monitor actual costs against estimates to identify variances and trends.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally with Contracting to provide proposal development support.
- Perform post administrative tasks as assigned.
- Obtain cost data from subcontractors, vendors, and other suppliers.
What We’re Looking For
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- BA or BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Math, or Economics.
- 2–5+ years of experience in cost analysis, pricing, or financial data analysis.
- Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, macros) and financial modeling tools.
- Familiarity with pricing databases and market research tools for labor/material rates.
- Ability to resolve critical issues and ensure compliance with processes and government regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines, including flexibility to support non-standard workweeks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new concepts, adapt to changing requirements, and apply feedback to improve performance.
- Must demonstrate discipline and strong organizational skills.
Nice to Have
- Government contracting or defense industry experience.
- Understanding of government contracts and the underlying principles.
- Knowledge of government contracting regulations and related software.
- Comprehension of various contract types.
- Knowledge of AI usage to develop and implement cost and pricing strategies.
