What You'll Do

  • Map client-specific data to platform requirements and ensure accurate onboarding to the emergency management system
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and performance indicators through summary analysis and exploratory techniques
  • Build interactive visualizations using QGIS, Jupyter Notebooks, or Excel to communicate findings clearly
  • Develop reports and presentations that turn complex data into understandable, action-oriented insights
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their operational challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions
  • Continuously refine internal tools and workflows to improve data accuracy, processing speed, and usability
  • Act as a trusted advisor, maintaining strong relationships through clear communication and reliable follow-through

Requirements

  • Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-evolving technical environment
  • Strong proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Python for data manipulation and analysis
  • Passion for uncovering patterns in data and solving complex problems creatively
  • Experience validating data integrity and distinguishing meaningful signals from noise
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when explaining technical results to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with strategic thinking about broader implications
  • Self-motivated with a drive to explore data deeply and ask the right questions
  • Comfortable iterating when initial approaches don’t yield answers
  • Alignment with values centered on impact, learning, and innovation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in fire services, emergency management, or public safety operations
  • Familiarity with municipal data systems, land use planning, or urban infrastructure datasets
  • Curiosity about emergency response workflows and a desire to contribute meaningfully to the sector

Technical Stack

Tools you’ll use regularly include SQL, Python, Excel, Jupyter Notebooks, QGIS, and other GIS-enabled platforms for spatial analysis and visualization.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to grow your skills and take on increasing responsibility
  • Work that directly supports frontline emergency personnel and improves community outcomes
  • Be part of a growing SaaS organization known for cutting-edge analytics and visualization capabilities
  • Collaborate with a team recognized internationally for innovative data presentation
  • Work in a culture that encourages experimentation, continuous learning, and rigorous validation of results
