Responsibilities
- Verifies job specifications and configures the press setup accordingly before production runs
- Checks fountain solution, inking systems, paper rolls, and reel-related components for proper function
- Manages paper inventory levels and logs consumption and waste on SPC reports
- Ensures paper rolls are correctly unrolled, positioned, and prepared for splicing
- Oversees paper feed during operation and replaces rolls as needed
- Collaborates with press operators and support staff on preventive press maintenance tasks
- Supports maintenance technicians in diagnosing issues and performing press repairs
- May contribute to make-ready procedures before production begins
- May fine-tune ink, solvent, and varnish levels to maintain required color standards based on site requirements
- Follows and encourages compliance with all safety protocols, including hazardous waste handling, lockout-tagout procedures, and use of hearing and eye protection
