Planet is seeking a PreSales Solutions Architect to demonstrate the value of our data and services for the Western and Northern European regions. You will help organizations overcome their earth data challenges and collaborate with internal teams to enhance Planet's industry offerings.
What You'll Do
- Build and deliver presentations and product demonstrations highlighting Planet’s platform capabilities.
- Create relationships with customers’ technical and management staff as a trusted advisor.
- Act as an advisor to recommend a solutions architecture that fits customer business challenges.
- Assist with the response to tenders, RFI’s and RFP’s proposals.
- Work with your sales team to determine account development plans and execute engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams including Customer Success, Product Management, and Business Development.
- Attain quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives assigned by management.
- Represent Planet’s Defense and Intelligence needs to Sales leadership.
- Present to key executive Government stakeholders within the Western and Northern Europe Regions.
- Act as a mentor to team members and lead training to drive their development.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in supporting the Defense community within the European region.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance for meeting with regional customers.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 50%, primarily around Europe and the United States.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French.
- Professional working proficiency in English, the language of the company.
- Experience working with GIS and Remote Sensing users within the Defense industry.
- Experience in IMINT, ISR, and related fields.
- Experience with QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL and other common geospatial software packages.
- Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international customers and sales teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive working style.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Ability to program with Python to process imagery, manipulate vector data, interact with APIs and build data pipelines.
- Ability to lead customer engagements.
- Ability to run workshops or training sessions with users.
