The Microsoft UC Presales Consultant will drive presales initiatives across EMEA with a focus on Microsoft Teams Phone and unified communications technologies. This includes developing solution designs, supporting bid responses, and working closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure successful handover and implementation of enterprise-grade communication solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support the full presales cycle from initial client interaction through to transition to delivery teams
- Design detailed solution blueprints for Microsoft Teams Phone and integrated UC offerings including Contact Centre
- Collaborate with sales support teams during customer engagements to identify and analyze technical requirements
- Develop accurate quotes, proposals, and statements of work for proposed solutions
- Partner with the bid team to respond to unified communications RFIs and RFPs
- Work alongside Insight and customer technology teams to deploy phone solutions using cloud or on-premises SBC architectures
- Lead the technical design and oversee implementation of communication solutions
- Serve as the primary technical owner and presenter of Microsoft Teams Phone blueprint solutions to customers
Requirements
- Hands-on technical background with Microsoft telephony services including Direct Routing, Operator Connect, and Calling Plans
- Demonstrated experience as a UC presales consultant with a track record in phone system solutions
- Knowledge of Microsoft on-premises to cloud migration strategies and execution
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- High proficiency in creating clear, well-structured technical documentation
- Capable of handling multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
- Experience in preparing and supporting responses to RFIs and RFPs
- Proven track record designing large-scale enterprise solutions using Microsoft Teams Phone
- Proven track record designing large-scale enterprise solutions using Session Border Controllers
- Proven track record designing large-scale enterprise solutions using PSTN connectivity via Direct SIP, Operator Connect, or Calling Plans
- Solid understanding of voice technologies and protocols
- Experience with Contact Centre integrations and Teams-certified solutions
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms systems and deployment models
- Knowledge of end-to-end migration processes for Teams telephony implementations
