Unitek Learning is seeking a Practical Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction, evaluate student progress, and provide clinical supervision. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining program compliance and fostering a supportive learning environment within our rapidly growing, collegiate culture.
What You'll Do
- Assure class attendance and grades are kept and submitted.
- Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives.
- Plan and implement orientation for new faculty in theory and clinical facilities.
- Utilize principles of teaching for adult learners.
- Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction.
- Demonstrate or acquire skills for utilizing online activities to enhance course content.
- Maintain student records of attendance and skills check-off forms, and assist with program data collection.
- Submit required program reports and forms to the Director in a timely manner.
- Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations.
- Participate in committee activities supporting the nursing program mission and attend faculty meetings.
- Plan and supervise student clinical experience in assigned health care facilities.
- Evaluate student performance in relation to clinical learning outcomes per policies.
- Provide immediate feedback on clinical performance after observation.
- Assist in maintaining student clinical records and program data collection.
- Ensure clinical assignments meet both student and facility needs.
- Determine best methods to observe, instruct, and evaluate students.
- Determine if clinical facilities meet all health and safety requirements.
- Provide access to students for communication via office hours and electronic methods.
- Participate in student advising activities.
What We're Looking For
- A BSN degree.
- 3 years of bedside experience as an RN in the field.
