About the Role

Forbes Advisor is hiring a PPC Manager to own paid search performance and strategy for one of our business verticals. Our mission is to help readers turn their aspirations into reality, and this role is key to scaling our impact through expert channel management.

What You'll Do

  • Accountably achieve the performance targets of your paid search channel.
  • Explain performance variance against targets to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Direct and support team members in determining optimal tactics to realize commercial priorities.
  • Define and implement short-term and longer-term strategies with the support of your direct reports.
  • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for all aspects of campaign management.
  • Work with your team to develop a testing roadmap for your categories and ensure wins are rolled out quickly.
  • Keep up to date with search engine and PPC industry trends and developments.
  • Utilize data-driven analysis to identify opportunities and make performance optimization recommendations.
  • Review and advise your team on findings from monthly account audits and ensure timely action.
  • Generate innovative ideas to challenge and reshape existing best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with Business Development to improve and grow owned categories.
  • Directly manage one or more search specialists, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Establish a coaching and development mindset in your team and lead by example.
  • Determine the mix between short-term commercial business-as-usual and long-term capability development.
  • Deliver or facilitate training and development for your team.
  • Set OKRs and conduct quarterly reviews for your team.
  • Ensure the team manages paid search accounts at the highest standard.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven 5+ years’ experience in PPC/SEM working on Google and Microsoft Ads.
  • At least 2 years of line management experience.
  • Proficiency in managing large-scale PPC accounts.
  • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools, including Google Analytics and internal reporting tools.
  • Experience using external competitive research tools such as SEM Rush.
  • Proven experience using smart bidding strategies.
  • You enjoy working in a team environment and look forward to supporting the business to meet required goals.

Team & Environment

You will report to the SEM Lead. You will lead and develop a team of search specialists, fostering an environment of expertise and continuous improvement.
