Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is hiring a Postdoctoral Scientist for a training opportunity designed for recent PhD graduates. You will advance your research in a supportive, collaborative environment, performing laboratory procedures and analyzing data under the mentorship of a Principal Investigator.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures throughout the training period.
- Design and perform experiments, keeping appropriate records and documentation.
- Analyze, interpret, summarize, and compile data.
- May develop, adapt, and implement new research techniques and protocols.
- Operate and maintain equipment and instruments.
- May assist in the preparation of grant proposals.
- May participate in publications and presentations as author or co-author.
- May observe MD-patient or MD-human research subject interactions as it pertains directly to the research.
What We're Looking For
- Doctorate (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in an area directly related to the field of research specialization.
- Acquires thorough technical and theoretical knowledge of the research project and objectives during a one to five (1-5) year post-doctoral appointment.
Team & Environment
You will work independently but in close cooperation and consultation with the Principal Investigator and other Research Scientists, reporting directly to the Principal Investigator.
