The Concannon Laboratory at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is hiring a Post-Doctoral Fellow for a full-time, mentored Translational Oncology Research fellowship. This position focuses on developing next-generation cellular therapies for lung cancer, with a composition of 85% scholarly research and 15% education/training. The expected duration is at least three years, starting between March and June 2027.
What You'll Do
- Design, initiate, and execute independent and collaborative research projects.
- Conduct rigorous literature reviews, data analysis, and interpretation with guidance from the Principal Investigator.
- Develop and validate CAR T and CAR-BiTE cellular therapy constructs.
- Perform in vitro and in vivo studies, including work with mouse models.
- Collaborate closely with lab members and local, national, and international partners.
- Maintain clear, transparent, and reproducible documentation of all research.
- Present findings regularly in one-on-one meetings, lab meetings, and multidisciplinary forums.
- Engage directly with patient advocacy organizations and present findings in accessible formats.
- Dedicate effort to grant writing, mentoring, didactic education, and structured professional development.
Team & Environment
You will report directly to Kyle Concannon, MD, Assistant Professor and physician-scientist in the Division of Medical Oncology and a member of the Thoracic Oncology Research Initiative (TORI). Administrative and human resources support are provided by the Division of Medical Oncology.
