Unknown Company is hiring a Portfolio Manager, NextGear Capital (Inland Empire, CA)

About the Role

Cox Automotive - NextGear Capital is seeking a Portfolio Manager for our Inland Empire, CA territory. We are looking for a proactive individual contributor who will manage and grow a portfolio of dealer lines of credit ranging from $50k to $2.5M. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, optimizing their floor plan usage while protecting the company's assets.

What You'll Do

  • Optimize each client’s use of their line of credit by acting as a floor plan subject matter expert.
  • Achieve performance targets through regular, proactive engagement with your clients in person and virtually.
  • Educate clients on desired performance behaviors, self-service options, and industry best practices.
  • Collect and analyze client financial information and internal reports to assess dealer performance.
  • Support the Risk and Recovery department with pre-default risk mitigation and post-default collection efforts.
  • Serve as a fiduciary by identifying and reporting material non-compliance or fraud.
  • Document all activities and client interactions in Salesforce.
  • Manage Cox Automotive cross-business unit relationships and opportunities.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years of experience in finance, client-facing B2B, account management, and/or collections.
  • Alternative combinations: master’s degree and 2 years experience; Ph.D. and up to 1 year experience; or 8 years experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel (fly and drive) frequently.
  • Must live within the assigned Inland Empire, CA Territory.

Nice to Have

  • Automotive and/or floor plan industry background.
  • Demonstrated financial knowledge and acumen.

  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Salesforce

Team & Environment

You will be an individual contributor managing your own portfolio and territory.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $104,600.00 - $157,000.00
  • Flexible vacation policy aligned with duties and company needs.
