M&T Bank is looking for a Teller to join our White Marsh, MD team. In this role, you will specialize in delivering an excellent branch customer experience through digital engagement, lobby management, transactional processing, and retail servicing interactions. You will be a key point of contact, ensuring financial transactions are handled accurately and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Adhere to high customer service standards and provide a differentiated experience by understanding needs and delivering solutions.
- Educate customers through shoulder-to-shoulder digital demonstrations and identify self-service opportunities.
- Actively manage the lobby, greeting customers and proactively addressing their immediate needs.
- Accurately balance and process customer transactions efficiently following Bank Policy.
- Take ownership of escalated account services issues until resolution and log all customer complaints.
- Transition identified sales opportunities and provide introductions to appropriate banking partners.
- Complete branch-related operational activities such as cash ordering, vault, ATM, and wire transfer activities.
- Process customer and account maintenance accurately.
- Complete Consumer AML/BSA/KYC related activities.
- Adhere to applicable compliance and operational risk controls per Company or regulatory standards.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum of 6 months customer service experience
- Data entry and/or cash handling experience
- Proven verbal communication skills
- Proven interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service
- Well-organized with proven time management and prioritization skills
- Proficient with internet user-level technology

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $19.00 - $28.34 Hourly (USD)
