Internal Job Title: Porter Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: 145 Richmond Road and 975 Gladstone Avenue, Ottawa, ON Work Model: On-site Work Hours: Shift – 37.5 hrs/week Job Status: Future Opportunity Position Summary As a Porter in our Building Services department, you'll maintain a clean and organized environment across all CBN facilities. Your role will involve performing general cleaning activities and moving materials within production areas. This position is ideal for motivated self-starters looking to advance to skilled trade positions within the company. Responsibilities - Perform general cleaning activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing, mopping, polishing floors, cleaning windows, removing garbage, collecting recycling, and stocking supplies. - Maintain the entire building, including administrative rooms, meeting rooms, common areas, cafeterias, locker rooms, and washrooms. - Move materials (goods on pallets) within specified production areas using carts, pallet jacks, mobile hydraulic lifts, and forklifts. - Ensure departments are stocked with required materials and transport finished goods to designated areas. - Adapt to dynamic daily tasks based on production demands and building traffic. - Prepare meeting rooms and client visit areas. - Various other duties and responsibilities.
