Role Overview
This position supports the accurate processing of insurance policies by reviewing change requests, new applications, and related transactions. The analyst ensures all submissions meet underwriting requirements and company guidelines through careful evaluation and data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process policy applications, modifications, renewals, cancellations, audits, and reinstatements for accuracy and completeness
- Enter and update policy data with precision, including declarations and endorsements for manual lines
- Manually calculate rates for policies requiring non-automated pricing methods
- Respond to inquiries from agents, policyholders, claims staff, and third parties such as lienholders and mortgage companies
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing
- Support compliance by verifying documentation and adherence to procedural standards
- Perform additional duties as needed to maintain efficient policy administration
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute
Preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position. After one year of service, employees may work remotely one day per week. Eligibility increases to two remote days weekly after two years.
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly pay rate: $18.00. Comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; 10 paid company holidays; a company-funded pension plan; and a 401(k) option.
