Axiom Software Solutions Limited is seeking a Platform Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our platform development and operations. You will be responsible for deploying and managing cloud-native applications, with a focus on SAP BTP, Gardener, and IAS, utilizing modern DevOps tools and best practices. This role is based locally across the UK.

What You'll Do

Design, deploy, and manage cloud-native platforms and applications.
Implement and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment.
Develop and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles.
Ensure platform reliability through comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions.
Collaborate with teams to implement security best practices, including container hardening.
Manage cloud networking and database systems to support platform services.

What We're Looking For

A university degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of technical professional experience.
In-depth knowledge of hyperscalers like AWS.
Hands-on experience with deployment automation tools like Ansible or Chef.
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines with tools like ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
Experience implementing monitoring (Dynatrace, CloudWatch) and logging (Splunk, Elasticsearch, Logstash) solutions.
Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS VPCs, VNet, Google VPC).
Familiarity with GitLab and/or GitHub.
Scripting background in PowerShell or Python.
Understanding of security best practices, including hardened containers and images.
Database knowledge, such as SAP HANA.
Expertise with operating systems, particularly Linux and RHEL.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

Expertise in SAP Converged Cloud (Open Stack) is a major plus.
Preference for ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD, Splunk, and AWS VPCs.
Experience with container orchestration tools like Gardener, Kubernetes, or Docker.
Knowledge of repository management (Artifactory, JFrog).
Familiarity with service management tools like Consul or Zookeeper.
Strong Python scripting skills.
Experience with security tools such as Hashicorp Vault or GitHub Secrets.
Knowledge of SAP and the broader SAP solution portfolio.
