Responsibilities
- Review and communicate approval of contractors' baseline schedules in accordance with contractual requirements and recommended planning standards.
- Verify that project resources align with timelines to support on-time project delivery.
- Create a comprehensive master schedule that integrates multiple work packages and reflects interdependencies between projects.
- Assess planning data from updated and progress schedules for accuracy and completeness.
- Detect potential delays, identify critical milestones, and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct 'what if' scenarios to evaluate the time impact of changes, variations, or risks and suggest alternatives before instructing contractors.
- Produce periodic progress and monthly reports with schedule analysis, issue resolution, and milestone tracking, including presentation materials.
- Analyze time-related claims such as extensions of time and disruption using recognized methodologies like time impact and window analysis, with emphasis on identifying contractor-caused delays.
- Collaborate with contractors and clients to resolve scheduling conflicts and planning issues.
- Coordinate with the client to approve contractor-submitted programs, reports, and claim submissions.
- Participate in project meetings including kick-offs and technical reviews, contribute insights, and prepare accurate meeting minutes.
- Develop and maintain trackers and logs to monitor key issues during design and construction phases.
- Establish progress measurement systems and key performance indicators with consultants and contractors for effective monitoring.
- Deliver clear presentations to management and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams using strong communication skills.
- Respond to contractor notices with well-reasoned, data-driven assessments based on schedule performance, construction norms, and contract terms.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Issue formal delay notifications and performance deficiency letters when contractor progress falls behind schedule.
