About the Role
The role involves leading PK/PD strategy and analysis to support drug discovery and development programs, providing scientific expertise across multidisciplinary teams to guide dose selection, efficacy, and safety assessments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and interpretation of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies
- Develop quantitative models to support dose justification and regimen optimization
- Collaborate with discovery and development teams to integrate PK/PD insights
- Support regulatory submissions with robust data analysis and documentation
- Guide translational strategies from preclinical to clinical stages
- Apply modeling and simulation techniques to predict drug behavior in target species
- Evaluate exposure-response relationships for efficacy and safety endpoints
- Present findings to internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities
- Stay current with scientific advancements in PK/PD and quantitative pharmacology
- Mentor junior scientists in pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles
- Ensure adherence to scientific standards and regulatory guidelines
- Contribute to cross-functional project teams as PK/PD expert
- Design and analyze in vivo and in vitro studies to inform drug behavior
- Integrate biomarker data into PK/PD models when applicable
- Support candidate selection and progression decisions with data-driven insights
- Collaborate with external partners and contract research organizations
- Develop and validate population PK models as needed
- Assess interspecies scaling and pharmacological relevance
- Provide input on study protocols and data collection plans
- Drive innovation in analytical methods and modeling approaches
