Bechtel is looking for a Piping Field Engineer to provide critical project field engineering support. You will ensure field activities operate safely, conform to quality standards, and meet all project requirements. This role is central to our Engineering, Construction, Procurement & Project Management operations, contributing directly to the successful execution of inspiring projects.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the preparation of construction drawings, schedules, and workforce requirements.
- Contribute to planning construction methods and procedures.
- Initiate requisitions for field purchases and prepare quantity takeoffs.
- Verify commodities on quantity tracking or other database systems.
- Ensure our zero accident philosophy is implemented and adhered to by all personnel.
- Support construction engineers, superintendents, foremen, and craft professionals in interpreting technical documents.
- Develop a firm understanding of system and area scoping for package development.
- Build system and area turnover packages digitally and physically for handover to startup and client.
What We're Looking For
- Level I: University Hire with 1-2 years of experience or 5-6 years of relevant work experience.
- Level II: Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of the application and requirements of Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H).
- Familiarity with Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies.
- Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.
- Knowledge of Bechtel's 'Zero Accidents' safety program.
