Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed therapy treatments under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist, such as therapeutic exercises, gait training, manual therapy, modality applications, neuromuscular re-education, ADL instruction, and wound care.
- Document patient responses and progress accurately in electronic medical records.
- Communicate updates on patient condition to healthcare providers; conduct assessments including range of motion, muscle strength, and vital signs when required.
- Educate patients and caregivers on proper use of mobility aids and home-based rehabilitation exercises.
- Mentor and support Physical Therapist Assistant trainees and therapy technicians as needed.
- Support quality improvement initiatives as directed by supervising therapists.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skill in physical therapy methods, theories, and clinical practices.
