Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end physical design flow from RTL to GDS, including synthesis, floor-planning, placement, routing, clock tree synthesis, and timing and power optimization.
- Manage physical design activities across block and system levels for high-performance components.
- Collaborate closely with micro-architecture teams to evaluate trade-offs in performance, power, and area for efficient design solutions.
- Conduct feasibility assessments and provide design guidance to achieve the best possible PPA outcomes.
- Create and refine methodologies and process recipes for each phase of physical implementation.
- Execute comprehensive physical design validation flows covering timing, power, and EM/IR analysis to ensure design integrity.
- Carry out design rule checks, layout versus schematic verification, and other physical verification steps to meet sign-off requirements.
