Responsibilities
- Draw blood efficiently and gently, prioritizing patient comfort and sample precision.
- Gather, identify, and store biological specimens following defined procedures.
- Process specimens through centrifugation, freezing, and preparation for shipment.
- Confirm test orders match digital labels to ensure correct sample tracking.
- Communicate clearly with patients about collection processes and assist with various sample types.
- Keep workspaces sanitized and hazard-free through routine cleaning and logs.
- Adhere to safety standards set by OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Accurately record and update patient data with high attention to detail.
- Support workflow improvements by helping resolve issues and training team members.
- Respond to patient phone questions and share test outcomes when authorized.
- Participate in mandatory team trainings to maintain current knowledge and skills.
