Allegheny Health Network is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our team on the night shift. In this SEIU - D role, you will perform phlebotomy using standard techniques and ensure the accurate collection and processing of patient specimens to support our laboratory operations.
What You'll Do
- Collect and process patient specimens in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures, both on and off site, within expected timeframes.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and ensure adequate supplies for efficient laboratory operations.
- Perform laboratory support duties, such as order entry, registration, and specimen receiving.
- May mentor students in phlebotomy utilizing established policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Phlebotomy training is required.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
Nice to Have
- A valid driver's license may be required depending on work location.
- Certification as a phlebotomist is preferred.
- 6 months of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
