Deckers Brands is hiring a Quantity Surveyor to provide expert cost management and quantity surveying services within the real estate sector. You will be responsible for controlling project finances from initial estimates through to final accounts, ensuring projects are delivered on budget.
What You'll Do
- Undertake cost management and quantity surveying for both pre-contract and post-contract consultancy services.
- Prepare budget and pre-contract cost estimates, cost plans, and Bills of Quantities.
- Prepare tender evaluation reports, review and negotiate prices with contractors, and prepare contract documents.
- Review payment valuations and manage the project’s change control process for all additional works.
- Participate in project cost reporting, preparing budgets versus actual cost reconciliation reports and cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare and review measurement tasks using CostX or equivalent software.
- Price and check post-contract cost estimates for additional works and validate their quantification.
- Follow up on supply chain management and attend commercial meetings with project stakeholders.
- Prepare Final Accounts and contribute to contractor negotiations.
- Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner, demonstrating strong team and leadership skills.

- Excellent pre- and post-contract technical cost and commercial management skills.
- Articulate written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent prioritization, self-management skills, and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong knowledge and track record in applying IT-based solutions.
- Software skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- A degree in a related subject such as BSc Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil, Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent.
- Experience, preferably in Construction, Fit-out, and/or Renovation projects.
Nice to Have
- Software skills in Cost Estimation and Quantity Surveying software like CostX, Plan Swift, Bluebeam, or Candy.
- Associate or Member status with RICS, or being in the process of obtaining it.
- Experience in the Middle East, though not essential.
