Stepful is looking for a Pharmacy Technician Externship Coordinator to ensure our students have a successful and seamless transition into their practical training. Your role is pivotal in managing the entire externship journey, from initial placement through to completion, while upholding our commitment to student success.
What You'll Do
- Manage externship placements by confirming site assignments, preparing paperwork, scheduling interviews, and setting student start dates.
- Ensure student compliance with onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screens, Board of Pharmacy licenses, vaccinations, and externship paperwork.
- Act as the primary point of contact for students and externship sites, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with externship sites by understanding their capacity, preferences, and onboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate records in internal dashboards, tracking student progress and site availability.
What We're Looking For
- You are a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- 3+ years of hands-on pharmacy tech experience.
- Solid understanding of state Board of Pharmacy guidelines and the National Certification exam (NHA or PTCB).
- 1+ years of experience coordinating externships or managing student placements within a higher education institution.
- Experience with Front, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and/or Google Suite.
- You are self-motivated, able to quickly learn, and jump into the role.
- You have strong communication skills and a high attention to detail.
- You have a reliable computer that can handle multi-tasking among many online tools and video-conferencing software.
- You have access to high-speed internet and a quiet, professional workspace.
