Responsibilities
- Act as the designated Pharmacist-In-Charge for an outpatient pharmacy offering Meds-To-Beds and sterile compounding services
- Recruit, onboard, and oversee a team of approximately 7 pharmacists and 12 pharmacy technicians
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for pharmacy personnel
- Monitor and manage key metrics in quality assurance, patient safety, and financial performance
- Oversee automation systems used in outpatient pharmacy operations
- Engage in institutional committees, regulatory compliance efforts, and quality enhancement programs
- Supervise and train pharmacy residents and student pharmacists
- Promote collaborative work environments across disciplines
- Ensure standardized delivery of clinical services and adherence to regulations for controlled substances, the 340B program, and sterile preparations
- Serve in an on-call administrative capacity on a rotating schedule
- Manage routine staffing assignments, including direct coverage up to 20% of the time
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities and a dedication to high-quality patient care
