CVS Health is looking for a Pharmacy Intern (3rd year) to join our team. In this role, you will work directly under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. You will play a significant part in modeling our company values and demonstrating genuine care for our patients.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure a safe and effective Retail Pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient.
  • Focus on Patient Safety, Pharmacy Professional Practice, Regulatory Requirements, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Inventory Management, and Workflow Management.
  • Keep customers and patients healthy through adoption and management of patient care programs.
  • Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
  • Seek new ways to grow, collaborate with others, and deliver better outcomes.
  • Align others around our purpose to bring your heart to every moment of your health.

What We're Looking For

  • Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
  • 0-3 years relevant work experience.
  • Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe.
  • Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, scan, and bag items.
  • Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers.
  • Ability to reach overhead and stretch to grasp items.
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items.
  • Precision control to adjust machines to exact positions.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, and move items between low and high positions.
  • Visual Acuity for activities like transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspection.
  • Able to orally communicate information and instructions.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting force frequently to move objects.
  • Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines.

Nice to Have

  • Immunization eligibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations.

Team & Environment

Work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation: $18.00 - $42.00 per hour.

Work Mode

This is an onsite position.
