About the Role

Lockwood, part of Cushman & Wakefield, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern - Grad to transition from academic learning to professional practice. This role is designed to prepare you for a future as a Pharmacist through a structured, comprehensive training program under the guidance of a preceptor and District Leader.

What You'll Do

  • Complete a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap after graduation to deepen your knowledge of store, district, and regional operations.
  • Assist the pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations and prompt, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Apply Standard Operating Procedures and best practices consistently across all pharmacy workflows.
  • Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each station, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
  • Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathy and genuine care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
  • Under direct pharmacist supervision, offer counsel, field medical questions, and solicit patient medical history for optimal care.
  • Take telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers for clarification, as permitted by state regulation.
  • Maintain self-awareness and provide in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to team members.
  • Complete basic inventory activities as directed, such as processing deliveries and cycle counts.
  • Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and be receptive to feedback.
  • Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment.
  • Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and professional standards.
  • Deliver additional patient health care services like immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law.
  • Support immunizations by obtaining Technician Immunizer status, educating patients, monitoring for reactions, and tracking patient data.

What We're Looking For

  • A PharmD graduate from a U.S. accredited program before starting the Post-Graduate Training Program.
  • Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation, per state guidelines.
  • Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
  • Commitment to regular, predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
  • Strong attention and focus: ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot quickly between them.
  • Customer service and team orientation: actively look for ways to help people and respond appropriately to patient reactions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
  • Mathematical reasoning ability to solve problems related to prescription dispensing.
  • Problem resolution skills to identify challenging interactions and choose the best course of action.
  • Ability to meet physical demands: remain mobile and upright for extended periods; lift, scan, and bag items; reach overhead; move fingers repetitively; extend hands and arms; have close visual acuity; occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.

Nice to Have

  • 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service.
  • Ability to become immunization certified.
  • Willingness to work in your home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Team & Environment

You will work under the direct guidance of a preceptor and District Leader, integrating with the pharmacy team to learn and contribute to daily operations.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation range: $19.75 - $42.00 per hour.
